    The essence of all superstructures, must be small grass roots social entities capable of small changes to improve their suvivabilty potential in the threat of each of the apparent super threats. Ths applie, both online, where forums,news groups and social networks must work within their communites to secure themselvers against disruptive hacks, and in real world where communites must come together to develop a degree of self sufficency in terms of food supply, power generation and organisation to allow central government to concentrate on the issues that small communties are incapable of alleviating themselves( quarantine/ generation exile)

    I agree completely and I think that the "superstructs" that people find the most "sexy" (for lack of a better word - are on the supersize me scale. I hope people are taking thetime to go through the list and see where they can make an immeadiate and personal difference. I will plug the two I've started - a central EDUCYCLE and a Community Access educational Resource Centre - both require members who are willing to start their own local versions. Both are scalable concepts and both are immeadiately realizable as they stand.

    Yes, part of this process seems to involve the notion of attraction and popularity...which is somewhat frustrating as some of us (like the other folks on this page, for example) are working hard for little apparent results in the process so far. If you are not well connected yet into this process consider joining the Superstruct: Outposts of One, to assist others as well as yourself as we work towards our better future together.

    "Sexiness" does not mean unproductive, however. In a Struct like Future Heroes, we aim to bring the mindset of community survival to the 'cool' kids.

    One of the biggest issues with this whole project is the number of disconnected individuals that we must reach. We need their input, ideas and the ability to help others across the globe help themselves. We are missing many perspectives here and true solutions will not be made without connecting those who do not have access to the internet. I've created a structure whose goal is organizing net access around the world and opening up computer use to those who do not have it. We need help from everyone in all locations. I think this is a crucial step to making solutions truly grassroots.
