Accurate predictions cannot be made more than 3-5 years ahead in time. Most superevents that define the experience of the masses are caused by random factors known as wild cards that, by definition, evades prediction (9/11, Katrina, etc.) An accurate matrix to produce reliable simulations would require observation posts on every single spot in the universe and as much energy to process it as is contained in the universe, meaning: We would need to duplicate reality. Two or more people that communicate to solve a problem are not necessarily smarter than one individual. In fact, the ratio of dissonance is proportional to the number of participants, which means the noise grows exponentially. At a magical point - the point of ineffiency by committe - the individuals actually get dumber than they were to begin with. Mass scale communication is infected by viral errors, which is the source of fascism and mass hysteria alike. Most rapid progress in our intellectual development is the product of outliers possessing socalled genius. It is a flawed assumption to think human beings possess control of their destiny on the collective level. Human beings are not necessarily empowered by collaboration to fix problems. For instance, increased societal acceptance of quarantine will do zero against the rapid distribution of an airborne reaper virus. People live in different realities that do not merge. A Universal Translator does not suffice for cultural language barriers. For instance, to some people a crack-down on cyber-crime is the harbinger of fascism and big brother society. To others being rational in itself is a threat to their religious subjectivity. The biggest manmade factor in displacement (Generation Exile) is war, and the biggest trigger of armed conflict (Power Struggle) is the strategic distribution of arms. All the concepts in the 5 Threats are basically code word for text book problems of poltical science like. Power Struggle = Global Anarchy (the formal state of the world is anarchic). Ravenous = food crisis (with a hint to the Malthusian Trap and bio-engineered food as a source of hunger relief). Outlaw Planet is an extention of the GWOT, and so forth.

Oh, and formatting on this website really sucks. No options like italic, bold, links, indent, align - you have to write code to make it look appealing. Not a good starting point for a wiki.

Yes, you are correct. It's been established by special session of the world bank, launched to coincide with the (planned) collapse of the world economies. This is all scripted, like initiatives as "the venus project", and "zeitgeist movement" and all those transhumanists popping up like vermin. The end plan is to create a sense of emergency situation with the intend purpose of location UN stormtroopers everywhere - that means russian pacification troops armed with nervegass creating an occupational presence overlooking the coming elections in the US. The end result is a world government, by any means, in order to cultivate the interests of the rothchilds.

When I used to work in government we used to snicker daily about how organized the public always thought we were - as though we were planning the results of our own deficiencies as part of an over-arching scheme. When in reality, we were just poor dumb bastards like all the rest of you poor dumb bastards. Of course we weren't greedy bastards - an entirely different ilk, perhaps Rothschildean in nature?

Perhaps I was just thrown off by the simplicity and the US-centric outlook of this "game". Answer me this: Is it a probblem that 100 million people in the developing world dies, or is it a problem because it constitutes a threat to your economic interests, your safety and your sense of hope for the future? If it is a problem, then why is Quarantine a major threat in 2019, while the major threat in reality and by then is and will still be, for the majority of people affected by pandemic, malaria? The fact is: IFTF is founded by a former employee of RAND, a major contractor of the US government, military and secret intelligence community. It draws funding from Ford Foundation. The ineptitude of this project - and the ready hostility when you question the underlying assumptions of the substructure of the Superstruct makes me doubt that it is a psy op, but I do not doubt that the collaborative efforts here will have zero impact on actual world problems. If you want real answers you have to ask the right questions. Answer me this: Why is Saudi Arabia listed as one of the major contenders in Power Struggle, or BRIC nations responsible for a collapse in the negotiations for a global treaty on food? Does that reflect current or future political reality? In all probability, no. Far from it. So, I need some explanation as why I should consider this a game set-up proposed in good faith. What country needs to sign the Kyoto Treaty? What country controls the majority of the world market on arms? Which countries are blocking the DOHA rounds with protectionist clauses, while demanding full compliance and liberalisation from developing economies? Who pulled colonialism and imperialism on the world, and why - if the West has improved, because it does not burn and hang negros in the woods anymore - is removing neo-colonialism on the agenda of the UN? Y'all make a mistake assuming that I am a right wing mole, a fan of Alex Jones or a conspiracy theorist. And that, my friends, make me question if a project like this is capable of pulling real human intelligence from the online communities. End of rant.

QuidProQuo, games like these will, when they have conceptually matured, be very important to act as simulation/brainstorming devices. Personally I am 100% convinced there is no sinister conspiracy behind it (yet) and your insistence I find a bit silly. However - superstruct right now is by and large ludicrous. Poeple taking place (including me) are making completely uncallibrated naive statements. We are making projections about 2019 that are fantastic by any stretch of suspension of disbelief. This project so far is at best still stuck in the (highly fantastic) callibration phase and at worst it's a very educational dry run for future crowdsourcing scenariobuilding. Do take any conclusions with a huge grain of salt.

It is certainly an interesting question, but how about this- Approach it from the perspective of trying to solve problems through reaching out to other individuals and addressing things on a local scale. Saudi Arabia doesn't matter if we cut down our reliance on fossil fuels through less of a reliance on overseas food production, etc. There are some very real things you can do that ignore the random subtext of this game and I think it's important to think about and communicate based on those ideas.

Oh I personally agree that global oil business is a complete cancer on this planet. Sure I have a personal masterplan on how to salvage things. If I were emperor of the known universe I'd direct all resources at research and development, implement a war economy, put everyone on a survival diet, and move to replace oil infrastructures as soon as possible with solar. (My ideas align very well with the ideals portrayed in the last "zeigeist addendum" movie.) .... However I would fail, because a single human mind, no matter how smart, is infallible in the face of overwhelming complexity. Superstruct works from the assumption that informed crowds (not the nascar watching types I hasten to add with sneering condescension) are best equipped to make collective statements about future developments. ..... That said, I am certain people like those who watch Fox news, and people like the US creationist movement, or fanatic from Russia, Oil companies, Saudi Arabia, climate change deniers, China or whatever will create parallel instruments that are so programmed to produce palatable results to their paradigm and status quo. In the end I can only hope free discourse will weed out propaganda from visionary genius. .... Because whatever you say, we ARE talking some serious dangers to humanity in the coming 100 or so years. Some of us are starting to wake up, even though we are down at the very early stirrings of even being *able* to correctly estimate the dangers. Give it 5 years and everyone will have access to detailed studies of just how big the dangers are and how they will proceed in the real world. Once we get the "michael bay" bullshit out of the way in discussing these discussions we can get down to business.

Who cares if this is a game with an agenda? It is a fantastic excercise for everybody to let the imagination run wild. Maybe it is not about coming up with solutions, but rather about learning how to apply creativity and collaboration to find solutions. A bit like learning mathematics at school - it's not about learning the square root, but about following logical processes which lead to a single solution. Besides, the draconic security measures are already here - look at the surveillance culture of the UK, the terrorized-paranoid culture in the US, or any other totalitarian regime in the world...

I find this site very sad. The future is so bleak.

It's interesting that since this game has started the world economy has started to freefall. Some of the fantasies that we have been creating may start to become more real in the years to come.

Even if the game was created with an agenda, it's fairly clear through our collective disinterest in trusting large corporations, governments, and other mass organizations that whatever oppressive security measures or fascism anyone might wish to enact upon us will be fought and fought hard. "At a magical point - the point of ineffiency by committe - the individuals actually get dumber than they were to begin with." Wow, have I ever been pointing this out. As many of my comments as have been deleted and my discussions called 'sarcastic and nonproductive,' this is ever true. So much noise, so little useful information- which I guess, when resisting fascism, is a GOOD thing. Who would put one person or one group in charge, if no one can decide which group or person they want?
