    Hey, it\\\'s not power rationing that sucks, it\\\'s power shortage! Rationing is a way of fairly distributing whatever\\\'s in short supply, and believe me, without it the world would be a much nastier place, with everything going to the fastest or the richest. Just ask the folks in the UK where they\\\'d be without energy rationing right now!

    Fair enough. But it\\\'s not that the RATIONING sucks--it\\\'s the damn climate! I haven\\\'t gotten proper sun time for over a week!

    Something we need to see fixed is the way power flows from a central grid. I lived for years on the edge of HydroQuebec land with the hydro generators less than 2 km from my house and we faced the same rolling brownouts as everyone else. We need an energy source that can be saved and used when needed rather than a continual source that is wasted at times and in short demand at others. They're just about to go live with generators that use the Bay of Fundy tidal pull. Are they doing that anywhere else - tidal generators? I know we have an insane amount of energy and movement here but surely it would work with more placid tides too?

    Rations of power, how interesting. Where I'm from, we still get power. Our solar panals are good in collecting enough energy to power the house throughout the night. We also have our personal wind generators to help on those days when the sun just doesn't want to come out from behind the clouds. As the years go on, it seems like the sun is not coming out as much, so we need the wind power as much as possible. Remember those threats of the sun burning out? Well, I guess it could be like that, but not as bad. How about installing some other engery producers such as windmills and dams?
