    When a society is distressed, rumours often lead to riots. In response to the race riots of the 1960s, many US cities created Rumor Control Centers.

    It is essential for Rumor Control Centers to be established as independent from government to ensure affected populations that our goal is "rumor control" and not "riot control".

    This organization's motto is taken from the saying, "A lie gets half way around the world before truth gets her boots on."

    • This superstructure is going to save lives by reducing the fear that feeds into violence. It is going to act as an opposing force to the griefers of Planet Outlaw that stoke the conditions for violence with misinformation.

    • This superstructure acts as an independant third party that can quickly verify information during a conflict. The natural place where these groups can organize and share information is online and through hosted discussions.

      Unlike the rumour control centers of the 1960s, Rumor Control "Superstructures" act independently of both government and mainstream media.

      This superstructure is committed to critical examination of all news and media, especially that coming from and about governmental decisions.  The use of various information technologies to facilitate real time discussion and idea development during critical timeframes.
