  • Who We Need
    People who code and people who access data. If you've ever run a database query and been overwhelmed by a neverending stream of text or numbers, your input is needed to help us shape the data into human-comprehensible information.

    Anyone can join and all are encouraged to participate. After all, if you can't easily access or comprehend the data, it's of little use.
  • Mission
    The CloudShapers mission is to help transform data restricted solely to the outdated 2D paradigm of user access into a more meaningful 2D/3D interface when appropriate.

    • This is a grass roots effort, and as such, it lives or dies at that level. We can either become self-reliant through better access to understandable data, or we can rely entirely on others to make sense of it for us.

    • This is a self-directed effort.

      A) People who need data converted into meaningful information should post their request in the following form:

      - the data

      - the data's source

      - suggestions for how the data could be more comprehensible

      - suggestions for applications through which the data could be accessed

      B) Programmers, artists, and designers take it upon themselves to decide which projects on which they wish to volunteer and alert the community by appending relevant information to the request.

    • 2D/3D data visualization is a large field now and the Net is full of examples, even if the inertia of legacy user interfaces and solutions has prevented the public from fully experiencing it.
